Sony Patents No Used Game Technology

The first time I heard of a gaming console not allowing the playing of used games, it was the rumors surrounding the yet to be released Xbox720. Today I came across a video that has already sparked infernos of anger among console gamers everywhere. The video discusses Sony's new patent (Patent # 20130007829) for a system that in a nut shell would prevent users from playing used games. So basically, kiss borrowing your friend's games, or going to places like GameStop looking to buy previously used games or trading yours in (places like GameStop will no longer exist by the way). No one is sure what Sony plans to do with the technology or patent, but one thing everyone agrees with, if put into action it will close many businesses doors. Check out the video:

  1. Wow !! I love video games, but don't have a problem putting the controller down ...forever. The greedy are getting greedier. Makes no sense at all. The consumers will speak loudly on this one...and their voices will be heard !
