U.S Watches Malta's Smart Grid

IBM successfully implemented a national smart grid system for Malta's power and water use. The purpose of the smart grid system is to allow consumers to "modulate their electricity and water usage based on real-time prices. The goal was for consumers to reduce total usage." 


The White House kept an eye on the smart grid system in Malta and upon successful implementation it announced on Monday that it planned on using a smart grid system in the U.S.
