Charlie Miller got kicked out of the iOS Developer program for exploiting a vulnerability in Apple's App store where he was able to covertly place a malicious app into the iPad/iPhone app store. For the sake of showing the potential damage that could be done, the app on the surface appeared to be a stock ticker; but it was what was beneath the surface of that app that all the buzz is about.
