Following the release of today’s Daily Brief (Friday, September 2nd Edition), the Department of Homeland Security released the following Bulletin for the Cyber Community’s Immediate Attention:


In summary, the DHS bullet states that the loosely organized hacking group, “Anonymous,”  which has claimed responsibility for DDoS attacks following governmental and private sector response to the WikiLeaks leaking of U.S. State Department cables, has announced through several mediums that they plan on conducting cyber attacks, peaceful protests, and other unspecified activity targeting a variety of organizations.
Planned attacks have been announced for the following:

(1)    Occupy Wall Street (OWS): 17 September 2011
(2)    Operation FaceBook (OPFB): 5 November 2011
(3)    Project Mayhem (PM): 21 December 2012
